Dental Cleanings and Your Pet's Oral Health

Just as with humans who brush daily, many pets need to visit the dentist yearly also. Over 75% of dogs and cats have significant dental disease by the time they are three years old. We perform a dental check each time we see your pet for his or her Wellness exam. At times, we will recommend a Complete Oral Health Assessment and Treatment, or COHAT, if problems are found during the physical exam.

Our routine COHAT includes general anesthesia, probing and charting of all teeth, scaling of tartar, polishing, fluoride application and if needed, extractions of any diseased or problem teeth.

Comprehensive pain managemant (including Novacaine-like nerve blocks) along with safe, tailored anesthetic protocols are included with each and every COHAT.
